Samuela Konusi Taukave (Skillz) is currently working full time as manager, performing and visual artist for Rako Pasefika and has been doing so for the past 6 years. He was first introduced to the arts industry through hip hop and street dancing when he was still in secondary level ecucation at the Marist Brothers High. After completing form seven, he enrolled at the University of the South Pacific, but then, realizing his love for arts and music, he started working full time with Rako Pasefika after the first semester. With Rako, he learned arts, music and dance from various pacific cultures, such as contemporary pacific dancing, polynesian dancing and also ukulele playing, drumming and chants from the Cook Islands, Tahiti, Rotuma, Fiji and Hawaii.

Rako Pasefika has been trying to revive the Rotuman culture and arts as most of it disappeared throughout the years and so Samuela's aim as a rotuman artist is to research and be a part of the revival progress of many lost art forms.

Samuela Taukave took part in various workshops and festivals during his career, such as the boomerang, the dreaming and the homeground festivals in Australia. He is performing regulary with the Rako Pasefika Band all over Fiji and overseas.
